December 31, 2012

Hola familia,
Well first of all HAPPY NEW YEARS TOMORROW!!! and it was so good to see and talk to you guys! Even though I had to get off and some of you left and then was able to get back on for a little bit but that's okay it was still so great to see and hear all of you. Sounds like everyone had a good christmas so that's good! So this week was a pretty weird week with christmas and all that. Question mom. The ball you sent me is it new? Did you go and buy it or was it just one from home? So on thursday I think it was we had to go do my companions papers for his visa to be legal here. But it was a process a little bit different since he got his passport stolen in the south so this was his new one we had to get a new visa stamp on it and stuff. So we went to capital and then there were a bunch of problems so then had to go to the united states embassy here and then back to the immigration place and in the end it didn't work so we have to go back this coming friday.. We got up at 4:30 that day and got back to our area at like 5:30 just in time for our meeting with our ward mission leader. We ate lunch at 9 at night that day haha. Yesterday rosendo got confirmed and in the picture I'm sending from his baptism he doesn't look so good.. But he is doing a lot better now. He said he started to read the book of mormon a little bit and his leg doesn't hurt as much now. So that was pretty awesome. Also there is a 70 that lives in our ward and last week he told us he wanted to talk to us sunday so we talked with him and we were all pretty nervous cause we heard he likes to drop the cane on people but it went well and we talked a little bit about what we want to achieve here in the ward with this new year coming up. Those were kinda the highlights of last week. Last night me and elder mattingley slept on the roof cause it was so hot and that was good. Our district leader elder mcbride called us last night and told us he isn't our district leader anymore and that he is getting flashed today. Flashed means a missionary gets transferred or moved randomly in the middle of a transfer. Usually happens if there is problems, a disobedient missionary, or inspiration from the lord. So he is going to be a zone leader in my last zone and we found out today like elder alder is getting flashed somewhere too and so there are quite a bit of flashes today and we aren't really sure why but I guess we will see. So this week should be interesting. The familia toñanez are just so awesome that we ate with them saturday and then yesterday they invited us to eat over tonight for a new years eve dinner and then they found out we didn't have lunch yesterday so we ate over there yesterday too haha it was fun and I'm excited for tonight! Then on wednesday I go to the doctor. What fun!... I forgot to tell you that like 3 weeks ago I got another ingrown toenail but on my other big toe and I've done what I can and it hasn't been that bad until more recently so I decided it wasn't getting any better and need the area doctors help. So I have that and I'm not way excited haha you know how I am with doctor and hospital stuff mom. But yeah its cool that the doctors office happens to be in my last area (palermo) cause he is the doctor of pretty much almost all the missions in argentina haha but yeah. Then thursday we will have a little zone meeting and then friday tramites for my comp. Also on friday I am picking up my passport because hermana lowry (a senior couple that works with the mail and finances of the mission) called me the other day and told me I have a package that was sent by fedex and so its stuck in the airport. So with my passport I can go get it if I want to pay for it. So next monday I will be doing that. But she said its from "john senders" address is 526 e 1750 n and the city just says PBU. So I have no idea who its from... if you do please email me back and fill me in real quick haha. Also one last thing. So mom you know the book you made me about my ancestors that you sent with me on the mission and made like 8 years ago or more and I have never even opened it? haha yeah well I decided to open it last night. WHY DIDNT YOU TELL US THAT WE ARE 1/8 MEXICAN???? hahahah I thought it was really really funny and interesting. So yeah I'm curious to know why i never knew this haha. So yeah that about it for now I think.

Don't worry mom I was glad I got to talk to my friends and stuff cause I wont get to talk to them in a while. But me and you will have lots of one on one time when I get back so don't worry haha. And yes I am very excited for the fireworks tonight :) Its supposed to rain but we will see what happens. Where did you guys stay up at grandpas funeral? I'm glad everything went good with that and I'm sure it was very sad and spiritual. I wish me and shawn could have gone but that's okay. Hey you need to send me his emails. I wanna know his thoughts from last week about grandpa and then christmas. wow thats crazy about the car!! I'm glad austin is okay! But we definitely have bad luck with our cars.. haha but its okay because everything happens for a reason so we just cant get mad or frustrated about it. Did you send it to get fixed then or what? I'm glad your getting on the mission clothes buying. Its good to get on that early. I'm glad steggell is even more of a stud than he was before haha hopefully he will write me one of these weeks and let me know how hes doing and everything. Wait when do robbie and jantzen leave? Yeah I thought austin would be in the intermediate class. I could have moved up when I was in the MTC but by the point I didnt want to leave my friends so I just stayed. But yeah I guess that's it for this week. les amo muchisimo! se que esta iglesia es verdadera!

December 24, 2012

hola familia,

So I wont write much right now since I will talk to you all tomorrow. But this week has been one of the hardest and craziest of my mission with austins call and grandpa and rosendos baptism and the christmas skype and christmas in general and just everything! It was so nuts! I wont tell too many details since you guys can ask tomorrow. But the beginning of the week I wasnt doing too well with all of it. With austins call and grandpa being so fresh in my mind but I am doing better. We had a few noches de hogar with some families that were a lot of fun to watch some christmas videos we have and testify of the meaning of christmas and that we really will always have the best christmas if we make Christ the center of it. We had rosendos baptism which was very very complex since he is in a wheel chair and always in a lot of pain but I will explain that more tomorrow. Today we went to san fernando and had a meeting with the whole mission minus the people in the south. We did a little white elephant gift exchange and got to hang out and talk with all our friends and ate and then had a spiritual part where hermana gulbrandsen and president gulbrandsen spoke to us and we watched a couple videos and their son talked to us who just finished his mission in uruguay a week ago so that was cool too since hes still a missionary and all. Also today I talked to an elder from honduras and was asking him a couple questions cause now I'm really curious about honduras and stuff so yeah I'll explain that tomorrow too haha. And now tonight, well in like half an hour, we are gonna have an asado (argentine barbeque) with the familia toñanez and we can stay out til like 10 or a little later and then the other elders from liniers are gonna sleep over and we will probably sleep on the roof so we can watch the billions of fireworks and cause its sooooooo so so dang hot today.... hottest day in my whole life. I'm drenched in sweat... haha. I picked up my mail today which was interesting since I got like 4 big packages from like I dont even know who. 2 from you mom then the rest I dont know. So that was fun with them in the collectivo and train. and I got a letter from elder chapman too haha so thats sweet. so pretty much I guess thats all to say for now since ill talk to you guys tomorrow. I'm way stoked and hope that everyone can be there! I also have a scripture for austin. D&C 34. In verse one replace your the name with yours aust. And also did you guys get my thing with the letters in it to people? And did you get everyones letter to them? Well I think that is it for now. Les amo muchisimo! Feliz Navidad a todos! se que si realment nos enfocamos en cristo durante la navidad, siempre tendremos el espiritu de navidad. nos vemos mañana! :)

Con Amor, Elder Buxton

oh also, kirsten I havent opened the box that was inside the big envelope thing and I also wrapped it and am excited to open it tomorrow! :)

Hola familia,

HONDURAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats so sick!!!!!! :) :) :) EL SALVADOR!!!!!!!!!!!!! dope!!!!!!! :) :) austin and jacob you guys dont know how excited I am for you guys!! Thats awesome! and way crazy how fast austin leaves... I had trouble sleeping last wednesday cause I knew you were opening you call. But I really am way way proud of you guys and I always pray for you 2. Especially now as you really prepare to leave. I'm so stoked that we will all be speaking spanish when we get back!! My accent will be different than yours, jacobs, georgias, and landons but my comp said that they speak vos in honduras too. So if thats true me and you aust get to speak the sickest conjugation there is. Its gonna be sweet!!! :) A couple questions.. Did you open austins call at our house then all go to jacobs or how did it work? ho was all there? I just wana know some details. Or maybe you can explain to me when we skype.

That is so sad about grandpa..... :( not sure what the think about all of this right now.. I wont lie I was expecting an email like this at one point in my mission but I was just hoping I wouldnt.. I am honestly so grateful for the plan of salvation and that we will see him again.. I'm going to miss him so much... :( but I know he will always be with us though. Cant explain all my crazy thoughts right now... doesnt help that me and my comp went and did his tramites to make him legal this morning and had to wake up at 4:30..

So this week was a pretty good week. I was actually worried about my new comp cause elder mcnabb and him didn't get along.. But things are good and we are becoming good friends. He actually lived in england for 10 years haha. But yeah so a couple things that happened this past week. On thursday we were coming home from district meeting and we went to get lunch and I followed my old comps instructions of what bus to take to get to the bishops house and we went way too far and got lost. Then we got off and took a taxi. I told him the street name and he took us to capital which has the exact same street name.. So yeah then we had to get on a train and get back and yeah it was nuts. But I had a really good conversation with the driver of the taxi so there definitely is a reason for everything. And it was definitely a test of frustration and faith. I also got your package mom and I was so happy to get a box of homesickness ;) hahaha no it was great! I loved it!! I used the wrong connector to plug the lights in and blew them out the second day. So I went to jared (our good friend that works with his family at their store) and he gave me free lights. So I decorated it and the box from sister nielsen was from the nielsens and the dicksons and it has 2 little envelope/packages in it and its the 12 days of christmas as a missionary haha. So i put those under the tree (as you can see in the picture). So yeah thank you mom! And tell the dicksons and nielsens thank you so much!!! Ao everything kinda changed yesterday. There are 2 wards that go to our chapel. Us (tonelero) and liniers. We have few members so yesterday they combined the 2 wards and tonelero doesn't exist anymore. They released all our callings and bishopric and so now we have a new everything and the sacrament room is actually full now haha. But yeah so now we are linier 2. And we are 4 missionaries in liniers. President is going to talk to us later tonight to let us know if he is going to change the boundaries or anything. But yeah so we confirmed jazmin yesterday which was great and rosendo (the man in the wheel chair) came to church yesterday and he has a baptismal date for this coming sunday. He isn't doing so good right now. He is in a lot of pain with his leg and his business isn't doing so good and he lives in a one room house LITERALLY the size of our bathroom. And its full of clothes and stuff everywhere.. but it has 2 beds and a tv so thats it.. yesterday we asked if he wanted a blessing of health (is that what they are normally called in english? I cant remember.. that's translated from spanish haha). We explained what it is and we are going to give it to him tonight. I am really hoping he has enough faith to be healed cause if he does then I have no doubt in my mind whatsoever that he can get up and walk right after if its gods will. We will see how that goes. We are in the process of finding right now so we are going to be getting on that this week. So I think thats about it for this week. I know there was other stuff but I cant remember.. and my pics with my tree arent working so maybe next week. So yeah tell steggell I love him when he gets home this week and tell jamie congratulations for getting married and its really crazy I'm hitting my 1 year mark this week. I really cant believe it.. its gone by so fast... and at the same time I feel like I've been here for forever. But just looking back a little bit I have changed so much. Like even in the past couple weeks. My whole mission I have always been like scared of the phone. Never liked to answer it or call people or talk to people in the street or contact references or anything. But I don't know how or when but I think that changed in my mind sometime last transfer and now I carry around the phone I answer and call everyone, I contact our referrals, I talk to the drunk people in the street that talk to us, I lead the lessons. Its made me happy to see that thats not just what I'm doing but its what I'm becoming. Its amazing what the spirit can do when your obedient.. who ever knew! haha :)

So yeah we heard about the new teaching program. In spanish its "ven, seguidme" I think. And apparently my companion heard about the 5 week transfer and so he was thinking that we would all go home one week earlier but that's weird that brent is only one day earlier and others 4 weeks.. not sure how it works. But I'm hoping we come home just a little bit sooner so that we don't get home on Christmas eve. But I guess we will see. So I guess that is it for this week. I don't really know how the skype thing is going to work at this moment. We are kinda confused so we are going to talk to people or call our DL and then maybe get on a little later if we need to. So I will let you all know. les amo mucho!

December 10, 2012

hola familia,

Wow okay so pretty much last week was the busiest week of my mission so far. So my companion and another companion had their last interviews with president so we did divisions so they could do that on wednesday. So we started divisions on tuesday and then they were going to take their english tests in san fernando too but the computers didnt work so they were going to do it thrusday. The trains werent working when they got their thursday so they couldnt and they told them to stay on divisions to go to the temple on friday (so I didnt get to go :( ). So they did that and then they went to go take their english tests and they got home at like 9 at night and then we did divisions again and I went with elder o handley all day saturday. It was so nuts!! It was crazy cause that whole time I was in my area with elder braun who has 8 months in the mission but just recently got his visa to come here and has been waiting for it in colorado for 6 months. So I was senior comp and did almost everything for 4 days straight. It was really good and elder braun and I are good friends now but it definiltey was stressfull haha I guess I didnt realize until those 4 days that as senior comp you literally have to do everything haha but it was still really good. So obviously my comp went home and my new companion is elder mathingley. Its the first comp I've gotten that I actually know before we get put together. Elder mcnab was with him when we were in palermo and juncal and elder alder was just barely with him in juncal. So he is my senior companion and it will be an interesting transfer. He is a little different haha but the Lord wants me to learn something so here we go. Its funny cause he is from lindon, utah haha but he lived in like england for like 4 years. But he went to PG and I guess he kinda has some dyslexia so his spanish is alright. Elder mcnab and alder both told me I will basically be senior comp and will be doing almost everything. I'm okay with that cause I wanted to be senior comp anyway. Kinda surprised I'm not but oh well. So yeah jazmin got baptised yesterday and it went pretty good. It was kinda a disaster for a while cause the fount overflowed and my comp and her didn't bring towels and it was just crazy but it all worked out. Also with elder o handley he locked the keys in the apartment and it was a huge process to get in that I dont have time to explain. It just was not our week but thats okay! haha. We had the despedida last night and it was way good. I saw a ton of friends and everything and last monday I visited ayelen and her mom and talked with them for a bit and they were way happy to see me but luz was at school so I told them to come to the despedida and bring luz and they did and brought me cake and pictures and letters and it was so great to see them again! Especially luz :) She really wants to come to the united states with me haha ayelen does too. But yeah so I guess thats about it for this week. Things are really going to change this transfer. Elder martinez (my last comp) got made zone leader in my zone haha so hes my zone leader now and we have a whole different district now. It will definitely be weird but we will see. Also I see that andy steggell goes into the mtc this week. Thats awesome! Tell him I wish him luck!! And if your reading this happy birthday brad!! Hope its a good one! Oh and mom I got your big package that I think is my christmas package but you said you sent another one weeks ago but it never came. I love getting random packages though. I got one from sister nielsen in our ward. Like not georgias mom but the other one. Really really random but thanks! And thank youuuuuu kirsten!!! :) I havent decided if I'm going to open yours now or on christmas though kirst.

Sounds like everyone is doing pretty good and moving forward with faith haha thats always good but man I was hoping aust and jacob would get there calls this week. Well next week for sure hopefully! Yes they are both from missionary mall. On one of the pictures you can see the brand. One got stained from mud and just wont come out. I've washed it like 4 times. The other has a big yellow stain on it thats really hard to see in the pictures but I have no idea where it came from. Wow I'm excited to find out your new calling. Let me know! I really really hope we don't lose our house too.. I want to come back to it just the way it was. Well almost the way it was. And thats awesome your gonna start excersising more. Thats something thats hard to do in the mission is do our excersices at 6:30 in the morning. But yeah do it mom! And then start playing all the sports again that you love to play and then we can play when I get back :) Wow thats crazy about the snow. Yeah just never stop paying tithing and doing everything we can to obey the Lord and no matter what happens everything will be okay. That can be so hard sometimes when the Lord wants us to do things that we dont want to do. But He knows us better than we know Him and so we need to trust Him always. Yeah so christmas is really really different down here but I'm okay with that so I'm not too homesick haha but yeah so I guess thats it for this week. I guess something small to put in the box would be peanut butter or I dunno. twizzlers!!! :) haha okay bueno les amo mucho!!

December 3, 2012

Hola familia,
So I cant believe its December already!! But this week was pretty good. Last Monday we played soccer and then went to another church and played basketball with like the whole ward young men and young women watching haha it was a lot of fun. We played for like 4 hours though so we were hurting pretty bad the rest of the week haha. Okay so on Thursday I went on divisions with elder franco who is from argentina and is companion of elder kaimikaua who is from hawaii/utah/nevada haha but yeah that went good and then on Friday I went on divisions with elder o handley which went good too. We had like a 2 hour lesson with 3 investigators that went way good. We taught the restoration and elder o handley really struggles with spanish so the investigators most of the time don't understand. So basically I taught for almost 2 hours but it was good. There was an older man named ruben and a mom named eli and her son cesar. We put baptismal dates with them for this month and when we did that they kinda freaked out and said that that is too soon and thats impossible and stuff. It was awesome to see ruben completely change when I bore testimony to him that we are representatives of jesus christ and that we didnt pick the date, his heavenly father did. After that he said "you guys are his angels or whatever so if thats what he wants me to do then thats what I should do." He also said that he felt weird, he felt a different feeling inside. The spirit really touched him and I hope he progresses. Our investigator jazmin is doing really good. She came to church yesterday with her little sister and shes reading and praying everyday and shes way excited for her baptism this sunday. Oh and also last monday we passed by diego and he told us that he wouldnt be able to come anymore because he was moving the next day.. :( so he moved but I hope he still gets baptised! Also last tuesday we had a capacitación and then on thursday a zone meeting. They both were way good and we learned a lot about how the Lord isnt here to help us. We are here in his vineyard helping him. He has already been working here when we got here. This really isnt our work, its His. And how the Lord really is hastening his work especially since missionaries are going to be doubled this next year. You can really tell the second coming is getting close. The gathering of israel is happening now. Yeah those were what I really liked.
Also I read in georgias email that he picked his missionary plaque scripture. How come I didnt get to do that? Did I not get one? If not its okay I'm just curious cause you never asked me about a scripture haha. Also I had been thinking about when I'm calling you guys for christmas or whatever and we havent gotten instructions on all that yet but I want to skype you guys if thats cool. Also I'm sending you pictures of the 2 white shirts I got from missionary mall that are stained and hopefully you can get new ones for me for free. And then one last thing. Just to see if you can get me the exact dates of when the following enter the mtc to put on my calendar, if you cant its okay. kyle, steve, jake, jantzen, and cameron mcginn you told me jan 6 but thats a sunday. And I didnt get your package last week mom. It wasnt in the offices not sure why but we will see this week. This week I think we have to go to the mission office for my comp to take his english test and then on wednesday me and another kid are doing divisions while our comps go have their final interviews with president and on friday we get to go to the temple! :) For all the missionaries and their companions. And then on sunday we will for sure go to the despedida cause my comp has to be there so yeah busy busy week. Oh and also today we got permission to go to the boca stadium and to capital and buy souveniers and see more of buenos aires. Its gonna be sick! And also we are going to go visit familia gonzalez :) which is funny cause I just got on email from her saying that I forgot about them haha I'm so excited to see luz though! And ayelen of course but yeah should be a good day. I'll take lots of pictures no worries.

Yeah I cant wait to find out where austins going! Thats awesome he got to go to the hospital branch and do a little service though. Sounds like fun! You got released mom?? Wow thats so crazy! Dont worry though you and cassidee will be okay. The lord knows your situations perfectly and he knows what hes doing. Whos the new presidency then? haha this is the last week of the transfer mom so my next email will be to you from here in tonelero still but with a new companion. I might even be senior companion but I guess we will see. I'm kinda nervous. Mom dont worry just keep reading jesus the christ haha I will read that at some point in my mission. I'm reading too many things right now haha. Wow thats really sad about the girls you met. It reminds me of a chat we had last night with a guy that stopped us cause he got robbed a couple times and he was begging for a place to live or just a bed to sleep on and money and stuff. We arent allowed to give any of that obviously but I tried to tell him how he can have happiness in his life even with his trials but when I started to talk about that he didnt want to listen and told us to leave. It was kinda sad but its really what the world is coming to. Thats cool about that melalucawacha thingy hahaha I'm too lazy to scroll down and type it out. What can I say I'm a missionary ;) How does it work to sell that stuff though? Well I guess that is it for this week. Its going to be a crazy week. I have a lot of thoughts and emotions going through my mind with all of this stuff and it now being christmas and its hot here which I didnt ever want to experience during christmas time but oh well haha I'm going to go show everyone the real reason for the seasons :) les amo mucho! gracias por todo que hacen! esta iglesia es la verdad!

November 26, 2012

Hola familia,
So this week was a pretty good week. So last Tuesday we stayed in the pention all day. It was okay cause elder lemo and elder o handley came and slept over Monday night and stayed all day Tuesday and Tuesday night. We lounged around, wrote letters and played risk haha it was pretty fun. We have like a roof top thing so we chilled up there for a bit too so yeah it was nice to rest. I heard also that that was an Argentina wide thing but yeah I dunno. Then on hTursday we did divisions again and I was in my area with elder mower again which went pretty good also. And the bishop actually called us that night too and wanted to visit someone with us the next day and asked me and my comp to give talks on Sunday. So that was great cause it shows that the bishop is trusting us more and stuff. So Sunday we gave our talks which went really good. Mine was on Mosiah 5 which I love. It talks about how we all need to really experience a change of heart and have the name of Christ written in our hearts. Great chapter! I encourage you guys to read it again. And then I taught gospel principles which went really good too. And then me and my comp had to talk to the primary and bear our testimonies and stuff. So it was just a teaching packed Sunday haha. And then we had 2 really good lessons. One with a girl named jazmin who is friends with a member and she came to church yesterday. Shes 9 years old and so we passed by her house and taught her and her family. Her parents aren't married but we set a baptism date with her on the 9th. Shes really excited. And then we had a family night with a family I didn't know that much so it was great to get to know them a little more. And also Diego came to church again. We had a lesson with him the other day and he was way excited the days before until that day so we asked what was up and he said he talked to his step dad and he told Diego that if he gets baptized he wont be able to worship the saints. (if you don't know what that is or means you'll have to look it up). But yeah so we are working with him to receive his answer that this is the true church so he can be baptized next Sunday, the 2nd. So yeah we will see how that goes this week. Also on Friday night when went to a recent converts house (the girlfriend of jared who I told you about last week) and she made us tacos :) as you can see in pics. Shes the only member in her family but we are way tight with the whole family. So yeah. Also something that elder lemo and them told me that I didn't know about our president. It was a story that he had a son that was in high school that committed suicide. I never knew that.. but here comes the amazing part. He committed suicide because of something his football coach had said to him. And so the prinicipal of the school I think called president and the only thing president said to him about the coach was "that coach shouldn't have said that." And president said (this was in a zone conference or something I wasn't in) to his wife that in that moment when he said that he felt the spirit leave him. He knew he couldn't bear the pain of losing his son without the spirit so his wife told him to call the principal back and say he was sorry. So he did. And then when they had the funeral the football coach was there. And as soon as sister gulbrandsen saw him she went up to him and gave him a hug and told him she was glad that he came. When I heard that I was so amazed... our president and his wife are seriously so amazing. They really are true disciples of Christ and I feel really lucky to have one of the best mission presidents!

In this mission we really work through the members. Street contacts and knocking doors aren't too effective here but they still can work. Even with like helping people in the street with groceries and stuff. People wont accept help because so much robbing goes on here in Argentina that nobody can trust anyone. Its actually kinda sad. Windows don't really get broken from soccer balls cause there are metal bars on every window and you wouldn't believe how long it takes to lock like your store when you close for the day. They have to lock it way good cause people literally live all over the streets here and will do anything to get things. But yeah just a little background of how the country kinda is. Here in buenos aires anyway. Wow austin and jacobs papers are in?? Don't forget to film them both and send them to me! I cant wait to find out where they are going. Elder o handleys brother last week got called to cordoba argentina. Kinda weird! but yeah where ever they get called with be exactly where the lord wants them. I have no doubt about it. I got one picture of christmas me and austin is all haha. but sounds like christmas decorating will be fun. It will be a struggle kinda being here during Christmas but I'm sure I'll be fine. And hopefully too busy to care all that much haha. Send me a pic of the tree with all you guys by it! And also I'm sending you an envelope with about 5 letters I need to you to give to the right people. It will be way way cheaper to send one big one than 5 little ones. So thank you! What did you guys do for thanksgiving? okay well I think that's it for this week. espero que tengan una muy buena semana! les amo muchisimo! chow!

November 19, 2012

hola familia,
Okay so this week is going to be really weird. So today we are basically skipping p day. We have a few hours to email and buy our food for the week and then we work the whole day like its a normal day. Then tomorrow apparently there are going to be a bunch of like strikes and a bunch of political junk so we have to stay in the pention the whole day.. we cant leave for anything. The government here is really messed up cause of the president. Its a girl named christina and she has been president for like 10 years or something like that I dont remember. But there are always dumb little things like all the kids in a certain school dont have school one day cause all the teachers arent getting paid good so they go and strike and dont show up. Weird stuff like that. So yeah tomorrow will be interesting. We are going to have lunch with versalles (elder lemo and elder ohandley) today so thatll be good. And then I think they are actually coming to sleep over tonight and spend the day with us in the pention or else its going to be a really boring day.. its starting to get really hot today so tomorrow will probably be way killer with humidity and we just might die haha k not really but our pention is really like a sauna. But I guess we will see haha so yeah. Last week was a pretty good week. We actually talked to a friend of a 13 year old recent convert who came to church yesterday and is like way excited and everything. We have talked to his parents a little bit and they are excited too. So we are going to really start teaching him (diego) and his mom. We have an appointment with them tonight and we are going to for sure put a baptismal date with diego so thatll be good. Other than that we are really looking for investigators right now. We kinda dropped the few we had before so we are finding more right now. Last wednesday we did divisions with the zone leaders and elder mower from idaho came and was with me in tonelero. It was rough at first cause I dont know the area that well but it turned out pretty good. And thats actually the day we met diego. We had a good long like get to know you talk with the bishop so that was really good too and helped strengthen our relationship with him. Also this last week we have been doing quite a bit of just little things for members as service which is really good. One thing is that all the kids here in argentina have an english class in their school and so its great helping a lot of them with their homework and stuff. On saturday and sunday I met a family for the first time here and they are way cool. They fed us lunch and everything and I helped the 17 year old daughter whos finishing high school with her english homework and she was very greatful for that so I'm glad I could help. Something I really thought about and liked this week was a quote thats on a mormon message thats from shakespeare that says "those who do not show their love, do not love." I liked that a lot cause its really true in like relationships and with family members and also with our heavenly father. We can say we love him or them all we want but if we dont give them our time or make sacrifices for them then we probabaly dont love them as much as we say we do. Thats really important in the mission here. If we really love our heavenly father and the people then we are going to make sacrifices for them and give them all of our time. Thats critical as a missionary. So besides that yesterday I got kissed on the cheek by a drunk guy yesterday which is always fun haha and also I realized I lost my mp3 player... I havent ever taken it out here in tonelero and I went to do that the other day and its not there and its no where.. so yeah kinda stinks. And also grandma naylor HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I love you!!! have an awesome day!! and also to everyone HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! :)

yeah I'm hoping we can all really reflect on what we are greatful for this week. Its always a great opportunity to do that. Wow sounds like thanksgiving should be pretty fun then. When are they coming up and when is ashlee and matt leaving? haha yes mom I agree you do your job in the young womens just too well! :) haha you are called there for a reason. And yeah thats the right jordan. kinda cool I guess. And yes brinnly told me about trennons call. Hes going to washington and leaves in february. I just dont know what date. Wow I'm way glad austin is really progressing with his papers and his interviews. I'm excited to see where he gets called! I dont know if I  asked last week but can you send me a new soccer ball? Not in my christmas package unless there is room but yeah that'd be great! wow are you serious?? mitch is in jail? Thats so crazy and sad... yeah I don't know why he would do that but yeah wow... I'm kinda shocked. mitch is a way cool kid on campouts and everything. But just wow. Lots and lots of mission calls haha pretty nuts. I actually looked at a map yesterday and Landon and Georgia aren't going to be that far away from each other haha. Well I guess that's it for this week. Les amo mucho y siempre estoy orando mucho por todos ustedes entonces no se preocupen. todo va a estar bien :)

Love Elder Buxton

ps the pictures are with our friend jared. he lives in the area of elder whitsit but he and his family work in our area all the time and so we are way tight with him. And also his girlfriend is one of our recent converts so yeah. He reminds me so much of me haha

November 12, 2012

hola familia,
So this week was a pretty good week. So it was extremely hot all week. Way way humid and just killer. And then all of the sudden on Friday it just downpoured with rain and its been kinda colder ever since then. Cloudy and less humid so its felt kinda nice but it'll probably get hot again soon. So last week we had our capacitation on Tuesday with all the trainers and new missionaries and district leaders and zone leaders. It was really good like always. We also had our zone conference on thursday which was really good too. But in both president has been focusing a lot on the why of the things in the gospel instead of the what. The what informs, the why transforms. We have been doing a lot of practices where we basically have to figure out the investigators needs and help them by asking inspired questions. And those questions cant be answered by yes or no. If it can then its a lazy non inspired questions. For example: instead of did you read the book of mormon yesterday? We ask what touched your heart yesterday as you read the book of mormon? Its really sweet and helps a ton. Some other stuff I thought was interesting that president said was that he has never given a talk that he has prepared. He like prepares a talk and what to say and then doesn't use it. Every zone conference and stuff we have he basically just stands up and teaches by the spirit. That's pretty awesome. He has so much faith. The zone conference was way way spiritual. Something I liked that president said was that in the greatest sacrifice in the history of the world, made by Jesus Christ, the thing that came to his mind that gave him the strength and motivation to continue in so much pain and not give up was you (us). It was way way spiritual and then we all kneeled and president offered a way sweet and spirit filled prayer. It was sweet. He also said that the whole church is changing how we teach. missionaries, teachers, etc. changing from teaching by trying to put everything in the learners head that we want them to know but rather inviting the spirit and the spirit teaches the learner exactly what they need to know. Its a rather simple, complex idea and can be kinda hard sometimes. The difference it makes is awesome though. It was also great to hang out with elder walker and elder whitzit for like the whole day. And me and elder whitzit talked to a black guy from south africa and stuff. So its sweet becoming better friends with him. A couple times last week we didnt have power or water so that's always fun haha. We did divisions on Friday too and I went with elder o´handley in his area which was good. He just barely finished a year in the mission and is from vegas. He really struggles with spanish but its always good being with a greengo after a while haha. Also in the capacitacion on tuesday I met a kid that went to timp that was actually friends with ali my senior year. We knew who each other were but that's all. Its jordan khutel (dont know how to spell the last name). Austin knows who he is I think but yeah kinda funny hes here in my mission. And the other day I read the letters from the Terrys hahaha and realized they were written like 8 months ago haha good work mom ;) but it was great hearing from them.. A long time ago haha. Also it was funny and cool yesterday we had a lady come up to us in church and tell us that she always sees us on the street walking and just thinks "oh my there goes my angels" haha it was way nice of her to complement us so but its funny she was just telling us for like 10 minutes that we are the lords angels. So we are working on getting new investigators right now since we don't have too many progressing but we have one girl named alma who's 9 who we are trying to get the permission from the mom to baptize her so we will see how that goes.

Teaching Sunday school went good. I taught about the temple and stuff so it was really good. I love the temple! Today we went into capital and bought some stuff haha I bought a boca jersey and haha you have to tell Austin this one. I bought a derrick rose bulls jersey for about $10 haha its pretty sweet. Yes it would be great if you could send me 2 pairs of pants. Have Austin try them on first though. Don't forget to wrap some stuff in my Christmas package too :) thanks mom your the best! wow crazy about all the mission calls. I don't have dates for Steve, Trennon, and Kyle. For Jacobs and Austins calls can you do a video? That would be way cool. but yeah I heard landons last week. Way way cool. I sent something to Austin to tell him. oh don't worry I definitely have cavities.. Its not fun. But I don't want you to have to pay for me to go to the dentist here. I heard its expensive. And no we don't have bikes here. And yes my toe was better a couple weeks ago so that's good. Wow sounds like you are and are going to be booked with schooling stuff for the next bit but winter break should be nice. Its weird to think you guys are in winter. I feel like your summer went so fast cause I'm just getting to summer and so I feel like its summer there too. Its a weird feeling since we pretty much skipped a summer coming from Utah to Argentina. You sold my transformer?????? really??? dangit ill miss him... :( haha but if thats whats best then thats okay. I hope cassidee is alright though. But I'm glad you saved my sub. haha I will definitely still need that. I'm glad Austin is done with his stuff for his eagle too that's way awesome. Hopefully you can have the court of honor soon. Yeah I heard about obama.... really dumb but oh well I guess. Its what the lord wanted for us right now so we will be fine. But yeah so I guess that's it for this week. les amo mucho! la iglesia es verdadera!

November 5, 2012

hola familia,
Wow okay so pretty much last week was so nuts. Sorry I couldn't write much. It was a way hectic day but that's alright cause everything's good now. So yeah I already told you about transfers. Me and my comp are already pretty good friends so we don't have problems so that's good. We have a pretty nice apartment so that's good too. But anyway so yeah my companion finishes his mission this transfer and he told me that on your last p day of your mission you can get permision from president to go anywhere in the mission so we are going to do that and we are going to go to the boca stadium and lots of other sick places. I'm stoked!! :) and basically it is freakin hot here!!!! It is officially spring here.. we are already dying. We sleep with 3 fans in our little room and still die of heat at night. Like us utahns really have no idea what hot is haha. Its only spring and its in the high 80s and 90s with like 90% humidity. The humidity is killer....! So yeah when it becomes summer it will always be over 100 pretty much. So basically I'm gonna die haha. Its kinda a gross feeling being wet with sweat literally all day haha but I guess I'll get used to it. So yeah also since my companion leaves it means I for sure will stay here and we all think I'l get made senior companion so I guess we will see. But that means that I will be here in this area for halloween, thanksgiving, my one year mark, christmas, and new years. haha thats weird. I'ts a really small ward with about 50 actually active members. Way way small. Okay I guess some other facts. So we had a zone meeting last week and they told us that right now we have about 190 missionaries in our mish and in a few months or something we will have about 250. Its gonna be nuts! This transfer was kinda funny too that elder mcnab and I left together and he is here close in my zone with elder schoefer(elder jorqueras trainer). We always stay close haha and we heard that elder brown and elder harrison (elder harrison in the south) got made senior comps this last transfer so that's cool for them. and yeah elder walker is here in my zone too with elder whitsitt haha so thats kinda cool. So yeah our ward is pretty cool I guess haha we have a huge like 10 block radius full of stores and cheap food all over the streets and just everywhere. I'ts way way cool. The other day we had the elders quorum president visit some people with us his name is hermano toñanez. He is way cool and we learned a lot from him as we were knocking doors with him and talking to everyone in the street which we don't do too much in this mission. but I hope to continue to learn from him he's way cool. Also tomorrow I guess we have a capacitation meeting again with the zone leaders and district leaders and trainers and then on thursday we have zone conference already. And then on Sunday I get to teach the gospel principles class. Sounds like fun no? :) hey be sure to be sending me georgias emails. And tims if you can too. oh oh and also! Messi is a dad now!! :) haha he had a son the other day which I thought was cool. Little thiago messi! Soccer prodigy! haha.

So yeah it really was way hard to leave Luz last week and I'm going to really miss her and her whole family. I hope I will one day see them again. Yeah its way weird to think its November already but I'm glad you guys are getting things done and Austin did good with his wisdom teeth. Did he swell up like I didn't? thanksgiving should be fun for you guys hopefully! I don't think we do anything here. They don't have it here. Hey let me know the exact missions and the exact dates their leaving if you can. That's way cool though! These are some random pics from the past few weeks. zoo, cemetery, and with familia gonzalez and stuff. I guess that;s it for this week. I will go read all your emails now haha. les amo mucho! esta iglesia es la verdad!

Love Elder Buxton

ps nevermind about most the pictures. I'ts too big and I don't have time to put them all on again...

hey also tell kirst that I freaked out when I saw the pictures she sent me!!! And that me and her are going together when I get back!

(The missionary on the right is Elder Whitsitt. I work for his foster dad, Dr. Young, at my clinic so it was fun for him and I to see this picture today and know that our sons are in the same zone together now)

October 29, 2012

hola familia,
So basically I have no time to write so this is gonna be way way short and I cant really read anyones emails so dont send me too much next week cause I'll have to read it all next week and print next week too. So short and sweet. We were all thinking that elder martinez was going to leave since he has more time in palermo than me. We were with familia gonzalez a lot yesterday to spend our last time with them. ayelen really likes elder martinez and luz really likes me haha but we are way good friends with them. soooo.... of course I got transfered. I am now in tonelero with elder prado. Hes from peru and he dies this transfer (he goes home) so I get to kill him haha. But yeah today has been the longest and hardest day. I am soooo dead.. being up late and up early and lots of crazy stuff happening. I will tell you guys next week. But it was so sad last night when I got the call about transfers and then called ayelen and luz and luz wanted to know really bad so I talked to her and told her I was leaving she instantly broke down in tears... it was so sad. Then ayelen came and said goodbye to me in the morning and said her and luz were crying a lot that night. But yeah it was sad and I really love that family... but there really is starting to be some miracles in that ward with the new bishop and everything. And I just got starting to know all the members. But I guess the Lord wants me here. My area is half capital and half provincia. I will miss palermo though. But yeah anyway I guess thats all. Sorry I have no time to read anything. les amo mucho! espero que todo este bien!

oh and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!! :)

(Here are some pictures from facebook from the girls that he is talking about. They downloaded them today and I love them!)

October 22, 2012

hola familia,

Well this week was a pretty good week I guess. So on tuesday we got a call from president and we were doing divisions that day so me and elder middaugh had to go to the mission home and talk to president that went good and all. It was way fun doing divisions with elder middaugh. He's so funny haha. So yeah then on thursday we had a training meeting with all the district leaders and zone leaders and their companions. The training meetings are always so good and we learned a lot of stuff. We watched a talk by elder holland that he gave in the mtc almost 2 years ago (which I actually already have on cd and am excited to show you guys) and we split up to watch it in our own language. After we watched it he had the latins still watching theurs and so us greengos were being taught a little bit after by president. haha it was weird in english but really powerful from president. Elder holland talks a lot about how we as missionaries have to be converted before we have any hopes of converting anyone else. We have to get it in ourselves and in our hearts first. So also with esteban we havent had much contact with him since we have now credit on our phone and cant call right now. He said he was coming to church but didnt so we will see what we can do this week. We are still looking for investigators but have some possibilities like a referral from ayelen and so we will see what happens with them. Yesterday was mothers day here so that was pretty cool but after like 2 it started raining hard and we actually went to the villa and something pretty crazy happened. So where ana and cecilia and ismael and them live is under the highway. So we walked all through the villa and it was pouring at that point so when we got there we were drenched. Victoria (anas mom) was with some of her family and people around and the guys were all drinking and all that but its whatever. They always do. But something common a ton in the villa but also everywhere in argentina is people just blast their argentina music with speakers from their houses and cars. So they were doing that and then we came and wanted to share a short scripture with victoria. So she turned off the music. We started to share something and we were talking and there;s a wall across the street from them with barbwire fence on top and a watch tower right there to guard whatever is on the other side. There was a guy in the watch tower and he started to yell at victorias husband and the other guys near us. I didnt hear it but they did and they all look over and saw that the guard was telling them that the house 2 houses down from victoria and mabel was on fire. All the guys ran and got water and one climbed up and the second story on the balcony and put out the fire. It was a sofa that caught but it was completely burned before we all noticed this. And they threw the sofa off the balcony. It was way way crazy. But the thing that surprised me and my comp was that victoria said after that angels sent us. And we were like haha why? And she said because if you guys hadnt have come, I wouldnt have turned off the music and nobody would have heard the guard in the tower yelling, and the sofa would have caught the house on fire and that would have burned and then burned all their houses under the bridge cause they are so close together. We don't feel like we did anything but we are glad that everyone was alright. It was pretty scary. So yeah besides that we actually saw mabel yesterday! The one that we were going to baptise but lives out of our area. She came to our ward yesterday which was great to see her and she got baptised and she is doing great now. So yeah and since yesterday was mothers day I just want to say that I love you mom and am so greatful for you in my life. I would be nowhere with out you. Thank you for everything!! I'm constantly amazed by you! So I'm guessing georgia had his farewell yesterday? How did that go? Thats so crazy he is leaving in 2 days. That went by so fast! Tell him that I say good luck and I love him! And I'm excited for him to experience this stuff. Hes gonna do great! Also this week is the last week of the transfer. Next sunday a lot of stuff will change in our zone so we will see what happens. Also I think the other day I got an ingrown toenail I think it is and lets just say right now its not doing that great. If I touch the right spot it feels like someone is stabbing my toe with a knife. So thats not good. haha. Hopefully I'll be alright.

wow no car? thats terrible... I hate it when that happens. I'm glad that jacob and matt are there to help though.Your uncle really died?? wow mom thats terrible! sounds so so sad.. :( I'm so very sorry. I'm so greatful too for the knowledge we have of the plan of salvation. This gospel is so great! I hope your doing alright now and praying a lot for his family! Awesome I'm so glad austin got the higher priesthood now. Its such a blessing to have! landons going on a mission??? seriously?!? wow thats nuts!!! Let me know where hes going as soon as he gets his call!! Thats sooo awesome!! I'm glad austins getting everything done for his papers. Waiting for your call is way crazy haha. Tell him good luck at the dentist! haha, argentina beat chile last week. So sweet! I heard USA won too. These are world cup qualifiers now so its pretty crazy. Everyone apparently plays again in february. Sounds pretty crazy for the terry family. I know everything will work out with them and that everything will be alright. Thats really weird though. Okay well I guess thats it for this week! I hope everyone has a good week especially with georgias departure! Let him know I pray for him! I know this church is true. les amo mucho!

October 15, 2012

hola familia
So this last week was a pretty good week. It was really funny last week at conference an hermano from our ward came up to us and told us how we were doing with people in the ward giving us lunches cause we were looking kinda skinny hahaha so then he stopped by later that day and gave us a huge bag of milk and chocolate milk mix and sugar and stuff haha so that was really funny and cool. And weird cause I definitely do not feel skinny at all.. I feel really fat and lazy.. ha. So this week we taught esteban a couple times and hes doing pretty good. Hes already in Jacob in the book of Mormon. but he wasn't able to come to church yesterday so we set a date for his baptism this next Sunday. He isn't too sure about it but we are going to really help him to realize the importance of getting baptised asap. We are still working on finding investigators. We don't really have anyone else. We have been passing by a lot of older investigators but a lot of them don't live here anymore and some don't really want anything. We went to the villa a couple times and one of the times ulises passed by us and actually said hi to us but that was about it. We talked to his mom on the phone and there is problems with his "step dad" (not really step dad cause they aren't married) but whenever he sees us he pretty much yells at us and tells us to leave and doesn't want us to be talking to his family. Its really dumb but we will see what happens. Also a random thing that I found this week that I really love and that I'm going to miss when I go home is that when Argentina is playing everyone is watching it ya know? And when they score the country goes nuts and yells. And so its sweet cause we open our windows and yell GOL ARGENTINA!!! with them hahaha :) Its fun. I wish they did stuff like that in the united states. Tuesday Argentina plays Chile (my companion is chilean) so its gonna be sweet. My team versus his team! :) We are also going to actually play soccer today finally so that should be fun too. Oh and also yesterday we got our new bishop which was really interesting to find out who it was. Its an hermano who we are good friends with and likes us so that is really good. So that's pretty much it from the week.

Oh yeah haha the zoo was really cool! I took pictures but I'll send some later. Yeah its sad about inactives that go inactive for dumb reasons. ayelens dad is inactive and her mom is going inactive now so that's not good. And don't think I ever get bored of your thoughts mom. I love reading them and printing them out and reading them again. But it truely is sad to see so many returned missionaries go inactive. Obviously I'm not old enough or in a place to judge anyone but I still don't understand how someone can do that after experiencing this stuff ya know? haha yes there are quite a few sister missionaries in our mission. Remember how I baptised someone for them last transfer? Wow that's awesome. I'm way glad and proud of austin jacob and tanner. They are going to do great. And we truely are so blessed with such an amazing bishop. I love and respect and look up to him so much! It was cold during the beginning of the week but the past few days its been hot. We haven't had to use sweaters. Wow that's crazy and awesome about andy. Weird how fast he is leaving though. oh I'm so glad austin is getting the melquesidec priesthood (yeah i only know how to spell that in spanish haha). That will be way good for him. Its an awesome thing to have. I gave a blessing yesterday to someone and it just helps me appreciate the priesthood so much. A quote that our old bishop said that other day: "we, as men, don't have the priesthood cause we are better. We have the priesthood so that we have the responsibility on our shoulders to be better." I liked that a lot. The church is true! les amo mucho!

hola familia

okay so first of all I wanted to say happy birthday to Toni since I forgot last week. Happy birthday Toni ! I love you!! okay this week was a pretty good week. First this week we did divisions on Tuesday and I went over to bel gran with Elder Holland who has the same time as me in the mish and he was in Atlanta at the same time as me and we flew to Argentina together. Hes a little bit shyer and stuff but divisions were pretty good. I met Justin bieber! ;) haha okay well their convert looks exactly like him! I wanted a picture with him so I told him we have to take one at conference and he said okay. But when we went to look for investigators between sessions on Sunday we went to his house and told us to come back in 30 min so we did and then someone had shut the outside door so we couldn't get in.. So yeah I didn't get a picture. Also last week we were told whoever finishes 70% of the lessons of retention to the converts in your ward, that zone would get to go to a pizza ice cream party with president and his wife and watch a movie. So we were working hard with that last week and we don't know if we did it yet or not. We should find out today or this week. Then on Wednesday we had a zone meeting. Not a zone conference. Just a meeting with our zone and zone leaders. It was a good meeting and it always helps to help motivate us to keep working harder. Also later that day we got a call from some of the hermana missionaries in our zone saying they found an investigator that they taught and put a baptismal date with and he lives in our area so we met him at conference and hes a freakin capo. Hes gonna get baptized this Saturday hopefully but hes already reading in 2 nephi. Hes gonna read the whole Book of Mormon, way sweet! Okay now to conference. WOW! can I just say I love conference! Conference as a missionary is so so sweet! I cant believe I never really paid attention in the past like I do now. You can learn so much! We are all so sad when conference is over. And I remember as a kid I couldn't wait for it to be over. I think conference is too short. It should be everyday for a whole week :) The talks were so good! We all had a good laugh from elder nelson on Saturday and his repeated statement "ask the missionaries, they can help you." haha. But okay I wanna know whats going on at home with the new missionary ages!! Cause that means Austin ,Jacob and Trent can all leave like.. right now!! How is this going to affect you guys? I'm curious to know. That was a very crazy announcement. I actually didn't hear it cause we got their late on Saturday cause we went to get an investigator from the villa. But yeah something else I loved about conference was that every single talk touched on the atonement and repentance. Man this gospel is so great! It was pretty nuts when elder holland pretty much dropped the cane on the church with his talk haha. But I loved all the talks and I'm glad I took good notes and I hope you all loved it as much as I did! There's no way someone cant know that those men are apostles and prophets of God. I know they are! so yeah I think today we are going to the zoo :) that should be fun. Its only open on weekends and holidays on Mondays so one of those rare occasions happens to be today so sweet! Besides all that we are still working on finding some solid investigators. And its kinda sad that ulises pretty much hates us. He wont talk to us or even look at us. And yohana not much either. We don't know what to do with them. But I guess we will see. Oh and those pics I'm sending.. me and elder martinez had some fun with our new friend in the pention :) haha and then at conference. For conference us greengos were in the institute building which is way nice and there was like 20 of us. There are quite a few English people in these wards in capital. pretty cool.

Yeah I tried to listen to a little bit of that press conference with elder holland but we were teaching a couple lessons to some investigators so I couldn't really. All those changes are so crazy!! Its hard to know what to think. If Austin and them leave sooner then I will see them sooner so that's good. But also if like David leaves sooner then he wont be here when I get back. But as long as they are all out then I'm happy with that! and that's crazy about the mtc time cut short. I'm glad I was in the mtc as long as I was cause me and my district got way way close and 5 out of us 8 live close in Utah so I'm planning on being friends with those kids for a long long time. But yeah way weird. Wow that's way crazy about Austin. I'm so glad that he is excited though! Tell me how Jacob and Trent and Tanner and him are feeling right now! wow I never thought about it like that.. in the fact that the timing was right and how me and the others missionaries with my time are going to soon have the responsibility to be leaders soon and help out many missionaries. Wow Jamie is getting married?? Weird! yeah its been kinda rainy here but no matter the temperature its always so so humid.. well I'm glad everyone is doing good and things are good at home. I would love to know everyone's comments and thoughts about the new missionary changes. email me if you want to share! especially you Austin Jacob and Trent and Tanner. les amo mucho! Esta iglesia es verdadera!

October 1, 2012

hola familia,
So this week was pretty good and I guess kinda different. So we had interviews on Tuesday which went pretty good. President talked a lot about how when we are young our parents make us do something and then later in life and with time we begin to want to do that thing. Its like that with our missions. We come on the mission for our parents at first usually but then it becomes somewhere where we want to be and want to do. Then on Tuesday night we had a meeting with our zone and president and all our bishops and ward mission leaders in our wards Cause a couple of the wards are having problems with their bishops like I had in tortuguitas. It was pretty crazy the discussions and almost arguments that were going on but our President is so lead by the lord and doesn't fear like anything it seems like. Our zone leaders (one is elder middaugh) were kinda crying cause they have been having big problems with their bishop and yeah it was pretty nuts. Then I think it was like the day after we went to the villa. We only went twice this week cause we haven't had any money to travel. But it was really sad cause we went and talked to Victoria (the mom of ana and cecilia) and she was angry at the bishop cause hes supposedly not helping them when they haven't even made an effort to talk to him or anything. So basically she told us that she doesn't want to do this anymore and isn't going to church ever again.. It was way sad and my companion was in tears and it was just depressing. But also our bishop is now moving back to mendoza so we will be getting a new one in a couple weeks. Also the relief society president is leaving too. Every is leaving! haha its crazy. Then one day this week our heater kinda blew up when I went to turn it off so we didn't have light for a couple days which is always fun. We started to teach some of these referrals we have been getting and they start off good but then they just kinda die fast.. Its sad. But we did find an old investigator that was being taught like 2 years ago that we talked to on Saturday and he came to church so that was good. But something cool from the week was that on Sunday after church we walked to get our lunch to go and the 2 girls that gave it to us told us we should go visit this one family that's been less active. So on our way home we did and they are from Texas and are just here cause the husband works for nuskin and they are here til December so that'll be 2 yèars in total. But their kids don't speak much Spanish and the wife doesn't at all and the husband served in mendoza so he speaks good but it was way cool and weird cause I taught them a lesson in English My companion doesn't speak English so he didn't understand but it was way cool and so weird I was like struggling for words quite a few times cause my English is destroyed haha. I can only really think and talk in Spanish now. Its half English half Spanish when I try to have a conversation in English haha its really weird. But it was good I invited them to watch general conference this weekend and then come to church the next week and they accepted. But yeah so we are really excited for conference this weekend and are gonna try to get everyone there to be able to watch it. Today should be kinda fun too since we are going to a tenedor libre (a buffet) with some of the zone. We've done this quite a few times now but its way way good. So I'm stoked for that! We will see if we can get some new investigators this week also.

Wo the weather has been weird still but mostly colder. Its gonna get warm hopefully soon though. I'm still sick though so that stinks. I'm better than last week but still sick. wow that's crazy about carson and them. Tell them all I love them and am proud of them! Who is the other going to new york, Kyle and? wow sounds like it was a pretty busy week. Hopefully you can get some rest this week mom. But I asked what Ashlees last name was cause ayelen went to the temple last week and she asked me if I wanted her to put anyone on the prayer role so I gave her your guys names and also all the Terry's names. Yeah they don't have daylight savings here so I will be 4 hours ahead of you in November haha. Well I guess that's it for this week. Get excited for conference! I know I am!! Mom be sure to send me a talk (or 2 if its smaller) from the priesthood session every Monday after conference! Its too late in the night for us to go here. ¡les amo mucho! ¡La iglesia es verdadera!
